Business Planning for Entrepreneurs Workshop
Algiers Economic Development Foundation (AEDF), in partnership with the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Xavier University (LSBDC at XULA), invites entrepreneurs to an in-person class in Algiers about Business Planning. A business plan is a blueprint for success—aligning your goals, sharpening your focus, and ensuring every step of your journey drives your business toward its full potential. This workshop is for new entrepreneurs and existing businesses. There is no cost to attend.
This class will be led by Dr. Tina Langlois, Center Director of SBDC at Xavier University of Louisiana – Division of Business. Dr. Langlois brings a wealth of expertise in startups and strategic planning, backed by 12 years in healthcare, public health, and international development. Fluent in four languages and a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional, she combines her diverse background in medicine, public health, and business to provide innovative insights to entrepreneurs and organizations.
This workshop will cover:
- Steps you should take before developing your business plan
- Why you should have a business plan and how to develop one
- Key elements of your business plan
- Market research – where to get the data?
- How to develop your Financial Projections
- How to ensure your projections are as realistic as possible
- Registrants will receive a Lean Canvas template, as well as a narrative business plan template, along with a Financial Projection tool.
