AEDF Announces New Board Chairman and Board Members

NEW ORLEANS –Today, November 14th, The Algiers Economic Development Foundation (AEDF) announced it has a new Board Chair, two new Executive Board Members and Seven New Board Members.

AEDF full board unanimously elected Theodore C Sanders III, President & CEO Louisiana Asset Management Pool, Inc. to serve as the new Board Chair.  Currently seated Board Members Ed Robinson, President & CEO of L&R Security and Fay Faron, Friends of the Ferry, will serve as Executive Board Members.  New Board Members include Mike A. Vira, Real Estate Investor/Developer, Ronald H. Bordelon, Louisiana Department of Education, Anthony J DiGerolamo, CEO Ochsner Medical Center – Westbank Campus, Ed Marshall, Principal Ed Marshall & Associates, SVP-First NBC Bank, Joshua Washington, Alice Harte Charter School, Kristin G. Palmer, Real Estate Developer and Jodi Lynn Jordan, Owner – CrossFit Algiers.

“As the new board chairman of AEDF, I am excited about the progress we have made throughout Algiers, a remarkable community that is rich in history, rooted in family, community and tradition. Since my time on the board we have worked hard to set a solid foundation and remain steadfast in our determination to move progressively toward a more sustainable community.  Algiers is a unique area of the City of New Orleans with wonderful neighborhoods, outstanding schools and universities and many businesses from Algiers point to the lower coast.

One of my many goals is to continue to make Algiers more assessable business friendly environment to all types of businesses small or large.  Our momentum is the result of dedicated volunteers from business, education and community who continue to believe.  As we finish out 2016 and enter into 2017, we are optimistic that AEDF in partnership with Algiers Development District (ADD), our elected officials, investors and sponsors we will achieve for all of Algiers”, said Theodore C.
